The side job of HVAC

People suppose freelancing is some sort of lazy job that millennials do because they don’t want a full time job–it’s not. However working as a freelancer is gruelling! In order to pay the bills, you have to take a lot of jobs you may not want to do… Then since you’re not full time, there is no guarantee where your next paycheck will come from, plus you get no benefits. That’s why I try to focus on finding repeat customers who I know will keep needing my efforts time plus time again, preferably in areas of business which I know will keep growing. This local guy who owns his own HVAC contractor is one of my number one customers. He’s been in the business of supplying heating plus cooling parts to our local space for decades, keeping the contractor within the family all the while. They’re unquestionably genuine people plus they respect the importance of what I do… Not only do they consistently answer my questions about a project, but they consistently pay me on time too! And honestly, they are the easiest plus kindest client I get the satisfaction of working with; they make my job easy. Then as a bonus, they also give my loft a free HVAC tune-up every year. They say I don’t charge enough, so they’re thrilled to give our boiler a little TLC. The boss jokes that in my office I should be warm, that way I can consistently get our deadlines done on time. They’ve even told me that I have a boiler emergency repair–to give them a call plus they’ll take care of it at no extra charge. If only all our customers were this amazing!
